Dr Nilesh Junankar is the Director – Advanced Laparoscopy and Colorectal Surgery Unit, Junankar Hospital, Nagpur.

He is a pioneer in Laser Coloproctology in Central India with more than 350 Laser procedures. His area of interest is Laser Coloproctology.

Dr Junankar completed his Undergraduate and Post-Graduate studies at the Government Medical College, Nagpur. He also has a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery under Dr C Palanivelu and complete special training in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Seoul, South Korea.

He also received training in Stapler Haemorrhoidectomy at Singapore General Hospital under Prof Eu Kong Weng. Having qualifications in Radiology, he conducts Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA).

Dr Junankar is also Vice President of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Nagpur Chapter and has served in various capacities including as Secretary, where he contributed to organising many conferences including MASICON, Nagpur.

He has also delivered lectures at numerous international conferences.
