Bharat Gera, Founder of Human Centric Healthcare Ecosystem, has always chosen the less-trodden path. Opting out of a career in Finance and Management Consulting in the mid-1990s after an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai – he set up Think Ahead one of the earliest Internet Consulting organizations in India.

After a decade as a successful entrepreneur, he decided to commit himself to improve healthcare technology in India by engaging with both the start-up ecosystem and healthcare providers in the country.

Since 2012, he has mentored several award-winning start-ups in healthcare technology, been a CIO of a leading teaching hospital and catalysed collaboration between industry associations.

He has been recognized as ‘CIO of the Year’ by CXO Media and has been on the jury for Nasscom Emerge 50. He is an advisor to several telemedicine start-ups, medical device companies and is an active CHIME India Member – the association of leading healthcare CIOs
