Dr K Hari Prasad is Group President of Apollo Group of Hospitals. Having specialized in anesthesiology, he worked at the family hospital for 4 years before contributing to the establishment of emergency medicine as a speciality in India.
He joined the Apollo Group of Hospitals and contributed to the launch of the first-ever dedicated accident & emergency hospital in the country at Hyderabad.
As the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Prasad steered Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad to be the first hospital in the region to be accredited by Joint Commission International, USA.
He is the first individual outside of Europe to be honoured with the Fellowship of College of Emergency Medicine, UK.
He has also been honoured with prestigious accolades such as the Life Time Achievement Award by the Society for Emergency Medicine, India, Federation for Emergency Medicine and the World’s Greatest Leader for the year 2017 – 18 by Asia One.
