Dr. Ajai Agarwal is currently working as Director in National Health Authority. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from S.N. Medical College, Agra U.P., and joined the U.P. State Health Services in December 1987.
Dr. Ajai Agarwal is an orthopedic surgeon and was also appointed as the Chief Medical Officer (Civil Surgeon) of Ghaziabad in July 2011. He worked there as an administrator for 6 years. In the year 2016, Dr. Agarwal became Chief Medical Superintendent of Combined District Hospital, Noida.
One of his major responsibilities includes his participation in January 2001 Gujarat earthquake. He was sent as In-charge of the medical team representing the state of Uttar Pradesh in the relief work at Bhuj during the earthquake.
Dr. Agarwal is also the recipient of several awards including the “Best Ortho surgeon”, award for performing maximum surgeries in a year as a Chief Medical Officer, “DOCTOR OF THE YEAR” award, and so on. His initiatives were also recognized by WHO. he was presented with a Shield by the Head of WHO for best performance in the polio eradication program.
