The ‘precaution dose’ administration of COVID-19 vaccine to the frontline healthcare workers along with those above 60 years of age in the country is all set to begin on Monday.
The ‘precaution dose’ online registration on the Co-WIN platform began on (January 8). All FLWs, HCWs & citizens above 60 years of age with comorbidities would now be able to take the vaccination for precaution dose with their existing Co-WIN account.
The precaution dose should only be taken post 9 months i.e., 39 weeks from the date of 2nd dose administration.
The eligibility criteria for the precaution dose would be directly based on the date of 2nd dose administration as recorded in the Co-WIN platform. The Co-WIN system will send SMS to all such beneficiaries for availing the precaution dose in their due dates. The complete details of the precaution dose administration will be reflected on one’s vaccination certificate.
