The aggregate COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the nation crossed 118 crore on Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry said. More than 68 lakh vaccine doses have been registered on Tuesday till 7 pm, it said while underlining the count is relied upon to increment with the accumulation of the last reports for the day by late evening.
The countrywide vaccination drive was carried out on January 16 with medical care laborers getting vaccinated in the primary stage. The vaccination of the frontier healthcare workers began from February 2, this year.
The following period of COVID-19 inoculation started from March 1 for individuals more than 60 years old and those matured 45 or more with determined co-dismal conditions.
Vaccination for all individuals matured over 45 years was dispatched on April 1. The public authority then, at that point, chose to grow its vaccination drive by permitting everybody over 18 to be vaccinated from May 1.
