This international symposium on the subject ‘Chronomedicine: Relevance in Covid Times’ was inaugurated by AIIMS Raipur Director Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar. As per his views, in the post-Covid-19 scenario, doctors are witnessing emails changes in the biological and routine cycles of people.
Under such circumstances, understanding the benefits of Chronomedicine will certainly help for a better treatment procedure. Chronomedicine is known for dealing with prevention, diagnosis, causation, and healing or treatment of disease with a special focus on the current role of time in human endocrinology, physiology, behavior, and metabolism which can play a pivotal role in the covid-19 pandemic.
During the pandemic period, there were several reports on anxiety, stress, worrying, sleeping disorder. This has increased the susceptibility to various infectious diseases and has also lowered the power of immune response. Other symptoms also included problems like brain fogging, confusion, focusing, disorientation, and loss of memory.
